PT Tracon Industri Solusindo was entrusted by PT Kaltim Amonium Nitrat (PT KAN) to carry out the Installation of a New Chiller at the company’s Ammonium Nitrate production facility. This project aimed to enhance cooling system stability, maintain product quality, and support increased plant operational capacity.
Scope of Work
Tracon Industri Solusindo performed mechanical and electrical installation tasks along with technical supervision, including:

Engineering Review & Site Assessment
Conducting a technical evaluation of the existing cooling system, load capacity analysis, and determining integration points for the new chiller installation. -
Mechanical Equipment Installation
Installing the new chiller unit, including equipment positioning, refrigerant piping, chilled water piping, and connections to the plant’s process system. -
Electrical & Instrumentation Installation
Installing control panels, power supply systems, temperature sensors, monitoring systems, and integrating the chiller into the plant’s control system for safe and automated operation. -
Testing, Commissioning & Performance Verification
Conducting functional tests, load tests, flow checks, pressure and temperature measurements to ensure the new chiller meets technical specifications and chemical industry standards. -
HSE Compliance & Work Permit Coordination
Ensuring all installation activities comply with safety standards, including coordination of work permits (PTW), control of high-risk areas, and implementation of process safety procedures. -
Documentation & Handover
Preparing as-built drawings, operation manuals, commissioning reports, and handing over the completed work to PT KAN.
