PT Tracon Industri Solusindo – PT ALP Petro Industry

In 2025, PT Tracon Industri Solusindo was entrusted by PT ALP Petro Industry to serve as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) for the Aerator Replacement Project at the company’s wastewater treatment facility. This project was part of ALP Petro Industry’s strategic initiatives to improve aeration efficiency and ensure compliance with national environmental standards.

Scope of Work

As the PMC consultant, Tracon Industri Solusindo was responsible for overseeing the entire process from technical planning to commissioning, which included:

  1. Technical Assessment
Conducting an evaluation of the existing aerators and determining improved replacement specifications with higher efficiency, energy savings, and enhanced durability.
  2. Engineering & Procurement Documentation
Assisting the client in preparing tender documents, evaluating vendors, and selecting the awarded supplier based on technical, cost, and quality considerations.
  3. Supervision of Aerator Replacement Execution
Providing expert personnel for daily monitoring to ensure all work by contractors complied with safety standards, quality requirements, and the agreed project schedule.
  4. Quality Control & Quality Assurance (QA/QC)
Performing periodic inspections of aerator materials, installation processes, and conducting performance tests to ensure the new system operated optimally.
  5. Testing & Commissioning
Verifying that the newly installed aerators functioned according to specifications through a series of performance tests and dissolved oxygen parameter checks.
  6. Project Reporting & Operational Recommendations
Preparing a comprehensive project report as the basis for long-term operational evaluation and providing recommendations for preventive maintenance.

Project Challenges

The project faced several technical challenges, including:

  • Very limited shutdown time for the aeration basin.
  • High-risk work conditions in a wet operational area requiring strict safety management.
  • Adjustment of the new aerator design to ensure compatibility with the existing electrical system.

Tracon successfully mitigated these challenges through intensive coordination among the engineering team, vendors, and the client’s HSE department.

Project Outcomes & Impact

The aerator replacement project was completed on schedule and in accordance with the technical specifications. The new aerators delivered:

  • Approximately 20% increased aeration efficiency.
  • Reduced electrical energy consumption.
  • Stable environmental parameters within the WWTP, compliant with regulatory standards.
  • More reliable operation with lower maintenance requirements.

The success of this project strengthened the working relationship between PT Tracon Industri Solusindo and PT ALP Petro Industry and became a key reference for future utility and WWTP-related projects.
